I am more excited than a little kid opening a new pack of Pokemon cards. Writing a book has been a dream I’ve held so close to my heart since my days as a wee little lass. So much so, it’s been one of the hardest things to talk about. You know when you are so passionate about something, you’re scared to share it with the world in fear of having someone shut you down for it. Then out the window goes everything you’ve work towards.
Yeah well, that’s what I felt when putting together this book.
But you know what, I sucked it up and I did it.
I did it because I believed in something bigger then myself. You see, this isn’t about me.
It’s about the future of this planet and our existence as it stands today.
While in my younger days I earnestly thought I’d be writing more along the lines of angels and unicorns, I think I can be proud of bringing something to you of so much more worth. A book that will guide you through the art of Sustainable Lifestyle Design that will create a better lifestyle for you and this planet. It’s what I wish someone had handed to me at the start of my own journey because they had my best interests at heart.

You might think I’m now ready to pop a champagne bottle, but the reality looks more like me crouching in the corner throwing daggers at my laptop from a distance. Self publishing is not for the faint of heart. It’s a long process (2 years in the making) and involves learning these things from scratch unless you’re rolling in the cash to pay someone to do it all for you (which I’m clearly not). In the moments of doubt (and there were plenty), all I wanted was to revert back to my 10 year old self crying for my mumma. With no expertise in putting together a book, no publishing company distributing to their worldwide network, and no marketing know-how to get the word out, it was one of my biggest learning curves.
But you know what makes it all the worth while.
